A newly assembled 39.5mm automatic GMT watch with an individually aged matte-black dial, warm vintage-tone lume and a faded red-blue aluminium 24-hour bezel. The softened two-colour insert, weathered 316L stainless-steel case and metal bracelet create the character of a well-travelled vintage tool watch, while a red GMT hand and magnified date display add practical everyday functions.

The clean no-logo dial uses circular hour markers, rectangular markers at 6 and 9, and a triangle at 12 o’clock. The conventional hour, minute and seconds hands display local time. A separate red arrow-tipped GMT hand is read against the bezel’s 24-hour scale to follow a second time reference. The date appears beneath a magnifier at 3 o’clock.

The aluminium bezel insert is divided into red and blue sections that visually separate the two halves of a 24-hour day. Its faded finish gives both colours a muted, sun-worn appearance rather than the glossy uniformity of a modern ceramic insert. Lighting, reflections and screen settings can affect the apparent tone and intensity of the red and blue sections. The unidirectional bezel can be rotated to reposition the 24-hour reference scale.

Every dial, bezel, case and bracelet is aged individually. The distribution of the matte finish, warmth of the lume, fading across the red-blue insert and weathered surface marks will therefore vary slightly between watches. These differences are intentional and form part of the design. The watch is newly assembled with an intentionally aged finish; it is not antique, pre-owned or refurbished.

The 316L stainless-steel case measures 39.5mm excluding the crown, 16mm thick and 47.5mm from lug to lug. Its standard 20mm lug width accepts many compatible replacement straps. A domed mineral glass crystal protects the dial and incorporates the date magnifier. The screw-down crown helps keep the case securely closed after winding or setting, and the supplied five-link stainless-steel bracelet complements the watch’s vintage travel-watch profile.

Inside is a Mingzhu DG3804 automatic mechanical GMT movement. It winds through wrist movement and can also be wound manually through the crown. The movement uses 21 jewels, runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides hacking seconds for more precise time setting. Its displayed functions include hours, minutes, seconds, GMT and date. Approximate power reserve is 42 hours when fully wound. No battery is required.

Each finished watch is checked on a timing machine in three positions before dispatch. Workshop acceptance targets are a measured rate within ±15 seconds per day, amplitude above 220 degrees and beat error below 0.6 milliseconds. These readings are acceptance checks rather than a guarantee of the exact daily rate on the wrist.

Every completed watch is individually water-resistance tested after final assembly to 20 ATM, equivalent to 200 metres of static pressure.

This rating should not be interpreted as a recommendation to dive to a depth of 200 metres. Our watches are not represented as ISO 6425-certified professional diving instruments and are not recommended for deep or professional diving.

Always keep the screw-down crown fully secured around water and never operate it while the watch is wet or submerged. Water resistance is not permanent, so periodic pressure testing is recommended, particularly after servicing or a strong impact.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. This is a newly assembled automatic watch with an intentionally aged vintage-style finish. It is not represented as an antique or as a watch that acquired its patina naturally over decades.

  • The red arrow-tipped GMT hand is read against the 24-hour bezel to display a second time reference. It can be used to follow another time zone alongside the conventional local-time display.

  • Yes. The date is displayed at 3 o’clock and enlarged by a magnifier in the crystal.

  • No. The Mingzhu DG3804 is an automatic mechanical movement. It winds through wrist movement and can also be wound manually using the crown.

  • The supplied specification states an approximate power reserve of 42 hours when fully wound. Actual running time can vary according to the winding level, movement condition and use.

  • No watch should be described as completely waterproof. This model is individually tested after final assembly to 20 ATM and carries a 20 ATM / 200 m water-resistance rating when the case is properly sealed and the screw-down crown is fully secured.

  • No. The bezel insert carries a 24-hour GMT scale designed for tracking another time zone; it is not an elapsed-time diving bezel. Although the completed watch is individually tested to 20 ATM, it is not represented as an ISO 6425-certified diver’s watch and should not be relied upon as professional diving equipment.

  • The overall model, dial layout, colours and specifications will remain consistent. However, each matte-black dial is individually aged, so the precise texture and distribution of the finish will vary. The faded bezel may also show small tonal differences.

  • Every finished watch is tested in three positions. Movements already within our acceptance criteria are not adjusted unnecessarily; movements outside the required range are adjusted or replaced. Actual daily accuracy can vary with position, temperature, power reserve, magnetism and wearing habits.

  • No. Mineral glass provides practical everyday protection but can be marked by harder or abrasive materials. Avoid contact with stone, sand, metal edges and rough surfaces.
